Stephen is an experienced and creative lawyer who is known for his strong judgment. Stephen works hard to protect his client’s interests, focussing on pragmatic solutions where applicable.
Stephen has a broad civil litigation practice that includes defence of municipalities across Ontario, occupiers’ liability, general negligence, large loss property claims, construction deficiencies, estate litigation, and general civil litigation. Stephen has trial, motion, application, and appeal experience before all levels of court in Ontario and has appeared before several different administrative tribunals.
In partnership with his estate litigation practice, Stephen is experienced in all estate planning matters. Within this field, Stephen prepares wills, powers of attorney, trust agreements and related estate planning documents. He regularly advises clients on the establishment and administration of trusts and estates.
Stephen was called to the Ontario bar in 2004 after graduating with a LL.B. from Dalhousie Law School in 2003. Prior to attending law school, Stephen graduated with a B.A. (Hons) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
